Prairie

The 15th hole at Moose Run Hill Course is a wide-open chance to let the driver fly, so I’ll call it Prairie.

If you get really wild off the tee, you can find tree trouble, but if you can keep a decent swing and strike that sweet spot, a long drive can give you a wedge to a small green and an advantage over anyone forced to hit a 7-iron from 30 or 40 yards further out.

The green is sloped severely on the right side. Any ball that lands on the far right side of the green might roll off the green. The rest of the green is pretty flat, with perhaps a few more subtle breaks than other greens on the course.

The 15th is definitely a birdie chance if played well and a bogey waiting to happen if miscues present themselves. It’s a good match-play hole for those reasons.
