The sim tour comes to a close with Pine River

Saturday we played Pine River on the simulator at Fox Hollow, we being myself, Devery Prince and Dave Jennings. The course was super hilly and sloped all over. Drives would find the fairway and then roll 20 yards to the right or left on the slanted picture of fake ground.

We seemed to figure out the reading on your golf shots will be better if you place the ball in the little depression on the hitting mat, directly even with the tee for driving the ball. When I placed my ball anywhere else, the reading seemed weak.

We only had time for 16 of the 18 holes, and those 16 probably mark my last simulator round of the winter. Work beckons with a busy schedule over the next couple of months, so this may be my last blog post until spring. We’ll see if inspiration grabs me and forces a few words to the internet.

Until next time, keep swinging if you can and keep dreaming of summertime greatness that awaits all of us. Keep checking in at akgolfblog.com as well, just in case I post something worth reading.
