The next big AGB event will be at Moose Run Creek Course the weekend of August 11 & 12. It will be called the Black Tee Brawl and will be a match-play event to settle the rankings heading into the fall.There will be no entry fee. To sign up, just let me know by August 3 that you are in. This event is open to all. All players will play the black tees both days.This event is designed to create some matches that might not otherwise take place throughout the summer and also to punish golfers on the longest course in Alaska for two days. Being match play, you won’t have to publish a score for anyone to laugh at, though. If you sign up, I will assign you a match Saturday and based on those results, will assign you another match Sunday.The goal is to give people a chance to sign up for a match and not have to directly challenge anyone. By the end of the weekend, the rankings should change and settle into an honest place heading into the last few weeks of the season.There may still be a mini AGB tournament or two between now and then, so stay tuned. We are, however, in the middle of the peak golf season and there are lots of tournaments to play in all over between now and September. If you happen to play in any tournaments this summer, please feel free to become a reporter when done playing and let us all know how it went down.
