If you haven’t met Jeff Turner, beware. He will approach your tee box with a giant smile on his face and you will quickly see he might be the nicest person you’ve ever met. Then he will ask to join your group and you will gladly welcome him. Next he will ask if you want to play a little skins game and you will gladly accept, especially after he tells you the story of how he had trouble hitting driver 200 yards not so long ago.

Not an especially long hitter now either, Turner saves his killer shots for the ones that land on the green. Turner really might be the nicest guy you will ever meet on the course. You won’t meet him in tournaments, however, because he says he is just a broke college kid who can’t afford the entry fees.

I guess that means when you lose a few bucks in skins to him, and you probably will, you should feel proud to help sponsor his entry into a showcase event someday.
