Chilean golf pro kicks butt at U.S. Open qualifier

Horacio Leon shot a 67 at Palmer golf course Wednesday to win the local U.S. Open qualifier by six shots.

Leon is listed as being form Jupiter, Florida, but is a golf pro from Chile. Anchorage’s Adam Baxter, a two-time State-Am champ shot 73 to take second place and secure first alternate. He was one of five players to break 80.
